Cecil Green (1889-1916) who is on the School War
Memorial. He was an Assistant Master at PGS from
about 1912 until 1914, when he enrolled in the
Army at the start of WW1.
Prior to that, he
studied and obtained is BA, probably at the
University of Manchester. His connection with the
school warrented his inclusion on the PGS WW1
Roll of Honour.
It seems he
obtained his BA with a view ultimately to getting
himself ordained in the Cof E.
