|I took it in May, 1971, standing on
the opposite side of St. Helens Road to the main
gate of Prescot Grammar School, (where I was a
pupil from September, 1947 until May, 1954,
reaching the "dizzy heights" of UVI
Sci). Regarding the photo, the prime difference
between it and its appearance while I was a pupil
there, parked cars, such as appear in the photo,
were virtually non-existent.
After leaving PGS, I
had a successful 30-year career as a chemist,
working partly in England, partly in Idaho, USA,
and partly in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to where
I emigrated with my family [wife and 2 small
children in April, 1967].
